House Rules, Explanation of:
Rulings created by the Game Master.
Players have LOTS if questions during adventures.
At times, the rulings of some questions are not listed in the Basic Rules Book.
When this happens, The Game Masters sets a ruling for it (and takes note to remember it).
When a Game Master wishes to change a specific basic rule, that is acceptable on all fronts. The Basic Rules Book are the suggested rules, but can be changed to fit the play-style of the Game Maser.
Example:
When I play the role of Game Master
I have a certain way in which all characters can gain additional:
Ability-Points, Luck, Modification-Points, and Spell-Points
My House Rule: This is for starting out, and as the character levels.
It's the way I give players a chance to become exceptional.
No more specifics on this will be given in this example (that would be METAGAMING, and we can't have that! Haha!
I like this syle of play, and all of my players love it.
Game Masters: Create House Rules at your liking, but remember not to deviate from that rule, unless you quickly let the players know.
Why would you allow someone to create a rule for an already existing rule in the game?
::shrug:: "because".
Have fun with this one.
Be creative.
